Welcome

Welcome to the Linux User Group of Thomasville/Tallhassee. Our group consists of individuals spanning from the newcomer to the seasoned "vet". We have no prerequisite for joining and invite all interested parties to sign up. The only dues you pay are the time you're willing to commit to the furthering of the FLOSS message. Thanks for visiting.

So we now email TLUG when content is posted on LUGOT.

Two responses hardly justifies a quorum but I decided to have LUGOT email the Yahoo group when new content is posted. Should produce a little more attention.

I use it as a place to keep the tools I use on an infrequent basis but always for get the syntax. Those you'll find in the LUGOT missing manual.

Now I hope the email isn't trashed by Yahoo.

Maybe you too can add your 'stuff' to the mix...

Codeweavers, mfg of Crossover Office and Crossover Games is running a sale this week.

If you use the trialuser as a discount code you get 60% off of the item.

Operation Jetsons

This is a test story to tell you a little about Operation Jetsons. My hope is to inspire some innovation by providing machines to the group in the hopes of building cool digital home servants. I would like to get a list of projects that the group would like to see implemented, and we can vote on a project to undertake. Whomever volunteers to build, document and teach the group can keep the test rig loaned to them by LUGOT.

Facelift complete

Well, the face lift is complete, now the heavy lifting has to occur. I hope you all will contribute to the cause by suggesting things you'd like to see on the site. There are a few items in the works already going on behind the scenes that really serve to add functionality and not much in user experience. The modules that can be added to the site can be found here.

Comment on this story w/ the things you'd like to see.

Thanks
