So, I posted a thread on the TLUG Group asking if anybody still visited www.lugot.org and got several responses. One of particular interest to me.

It was suggested that we maybe get our LUG on DIMDIM and maybe throw in some Asterisk for good measure.

Sounds good to me and a few others chimed in as well. So, I'm disconnected by way of Thomasville and I can help organize data but I'm not much use for hands on.

Anybody got any hardware to donate? Can somebody post the specs required?

Chime in. :-)

I apologize for being OT, but without a forum I have no other way to contact everyone here.
There is an Ubuntu release party at the Leroy Collins Public Library this Saturday starting at 12pm.

Well, Technician24 could donate the use of a small server class machine, but it would need a place to get access to the internet. If we continue to meet at FAIA, perhaps we could work out a deal where my company will supply the server and they could supply the internet connection? I suggest this so that the server will be local to the LAN where the meetings will be held. Thoughts?

If no new or too powerful equipment is required, I most likely can donate the computer or most of it. If such power is required, as a fairly current processor, perhaps we can pass the hat to pay for pretty cheap or reasonable equipment.
